STATIC RADIO NJ is leaving today for a month-long tour of North America.

The New Brunswick, New Jersey punk trio will be playing shows in support of the vinyl release of their debut full-length, An Evening Of Bad Decisions. Originally issued on CD by Black Numbers in September of 2008, the 12-inch version was released by the label earlier this month. It features brand new artwork and a free digital download for all the songs. There were 1000 copies pressed on 3 limited colors: 500 black, 300 white and 200 clear. For more info, go here.

Listen to “Green Hoody” and “Places.” (free mp3s)

Joining the Static Radio boys will be Florida’s No Harm Done. The tour will take both bands coast to coast, including five dates in Canada and one in Tijuana, Mexico. If you’d like to attend one of these shows or speak with the band, drop me a line here.

Punk rock record of the year? Most definitely! - Mutiny
This might be the closest thing to a perfect CD I’ve heard so far this year. - AMP Magazine
Holy sh_t, this album is definitely one of the best releases of 2008. - Battle of the Midwestern Housewives
All you lucky bastards going to The Fest – make sure you give these guys the chance they deserve. -Punktastic
Great, dynamic, uber-melodic hardcore punk that borrows a bit from Lifetime. - Read Junk
A definite immediate contender for “year end” lists. - Sound As Language
More punk rock needs to be like this. - New-Noise.net
