Philly’s very own super-charged pop-punk juggernaut, The Wonder Years, hits the road today for two weeks worth of shows throughout the East Coast and Southeast, otherwise known as the Spring Break ‘97 Tour. Joining the band will be I Call Fives.
The Wonder Years is touring in support of their latest release from No Sleep Records, a 7-inch split with Birmingham, England’s All Or Nothing titled Distances.
Truly a transatlantic effort, Distances was born from the friendship forged and experiences shared between the bands on their 2007 Hostels & Brothels Tour. The two pop-punk giants will attempt to rekindle those good times beginning July 9th in the UK for the aptly named Hostels & Brothels Tour Part Deux.

In related news, The Wonder Years’ front man and lyricist, Dan Campbell, recently published a 28-page of poetry and short stories titled Paper Boats, or Some Poems I Wrote. The book represents almost two years of the author’s life and deals with a variety of subject matter, from the death of a close friend to hit singles by Devo and just about everything in between.
