Run, Forever – On Tour

RUN, FOREVER – Tour Tour Tour!

• On the road (April/May/June) in support of The Devil, And Death, And Me
• Now available on vinyl from Solidarity Recordings
• Split 7″ w/ The Wild coming soon

Beginning next Tuesday with a week of shows along the East Coast, followed by a two-month US tour in May and June, Run, Forever (Pittsburgh, P.A.) will find itself on the road for most of the Spring, playing shows in support of its debut full-length, The Devil, And Death, And Me.

Originally self-released by the trio in July of 2010 and officially re-issued by Solidarity Recordings (imadethismistake, The Methadones, The Honor System) a few months later, the California punk label has just pressed a 12″ vinyl version of this terrific album, which you can grab here or from the band at shows. Act fast though – the LP is extremely limited (140 x black vinyl).

Front to back, The Devil, And Death, And Me is rousing, heartfelt collection of songs that touches on issues such as the corruption of organized religion, politics and most prominently, the struggle to overcome the tragic loss of former band mate Corey James Wolfram. From fist-pumping, sing-along punk anthems to more intimate acoustic numbers, Run, Forever explores the mystery of death through both the darker and more optimistic parts of its cycle without ever straying from writing wholly engaging, undeniably catchy tunes.

Case in point, album opener, the rollicking, infectious “A Sequence Of Sad Events,” is a testimony to the band’s friendship with Wolfram as well as the disbelieve and hardship of loosing someone you love. To download the song, go here (free mp3).

Looks like the Menzingers have got company. Much like Chamberlain Waits, Run, Forever drips with all the passion associated with the Clash/Billy Bragg playbook.
