After years in hibernation, Flint, Michigan’s pop-punk/rock ‘n’ roll powerhouse, South Bay Bessie, is back with Too Late, a new four song 7″-inch. This follow up to their 2004 album, It’s About Time, was recorded in 2006 over a couple days with Mark Michalik (The Swellers, We Are The Union, Into It Over It) but the recordings were never released…until now! The band, featuring original members, reemerged to play their first shows together in years in the Spring of 2013 and decided to mark the occasion with a new release.

Formed in 2001, South Bay Bessie played heavily around Michigan and the Midwest, including three tours throughout the first decade of the 2000’s sharing the stage with the likes of The Suicide Machines, Groovie Ghoulies, The Independents, The Methadones, The Manges, Even In Blackouts, Beatnik Termites, The Swellers, Yesterday’s Kids, and Ruth’s Hat. The band has released two full-length albums (Self-Titled, It’s About Time) and a split 7-inch with Flint’s The Hot Flashez. These days the band comes and goes as they please, taking a cue from the mythical sea monster with which they share a name.
