Until then, you can check out the band’s debut EP, 2012’s Dream Journal, which is available for free download on Bandcamp.

Jetsam-Flotsam is a brand new label run by Dane Erbach and his wife, Emily. You might know Dane from his amazingSwitchboard Sessions project/site.

Living Room is a quartet of decade-old friends from Brooklyn, NY who have played music together since 2010. They put out their first EP, Dream Journal, in 2012, which promptly landed the band on AbsolutePunk’s Absolute 100 for the year. Pointing to the musical guidance of late ’90s and early aughts acts, the band injects a distinctly fresh perspective, heaviness, and mysticism to the genre. The duality of ‘Living Room’ reveals itself upon close listen to meticulously constructed themes on levels of lyricism and musicianship, empathetically and specifically reflecting the complexity, vicissitude, and euphoria of life. They were part of Switchboard Sessions, Volume 3, and signed to Jetsam-Flotsam to release Moonchaser, the band’s first full-length, in the Summer of 2014.

The band has some April and May shows upcoming. Check the dates below.

Banquets & Nightmares For A Week – Song Premieres On Noisey / New Split LP Available For Pre-Order From Black Numbers

• Split LP out 3/18/14 on Black Numbers

——————————————————————————–

Black Numbers is excited to announce the long-awaited split release between Banquets and Nightmares For A Week is now available for Pre-Order. All pre-orders of the new split LP will come with a free copy of Banquet’s sophomore Self-Titled album on CD. But, if you are looking for vinyl, the 2nd pressing of Banquets’ Self-Titled LP is also available for Pre-Order now.

“My Moped Year” from Banquets and “Dead Will Stay” from Nightmares for a Week are now currently streaming on Noisey.

Originally concieved for release on another label the split proposed fell by the wayside with the passing time. Nevertheless, the two bands became fast friends and played a string of shows together in 2013. Both bands never gave up on the idea and after Banquets recorded several extra songs during their Self-Titled recording sessions, the split was back on again. Both Banquets and Nightmares for a Week released new LPs in 2013, so this split LP serves as an excellent refresher course as it features five new songs from each band.

Tyler Daniel Bean – On Tour / Debut LP Out Now

TYLER DANIEL BEAN – On Tour / In Support of Longing

Longing LP Available Now On Kat Kat Records
• Stream/Name-Your-Price Download here
• Winter Tour Announced (JAN 02-19)

——————————————————————————————————

Burlington, VT’s Tyler Daniel Bean released his debut LP, Longing, earlier this year on Kat Kat Records. You can name-your-price and download the album here and/or order the vinyl from Kat Kat here.

With unbridled ambition, Tyler Daniel Bean has taken the reigns of his eponymous musical hobbyhorse to race in the heats of heartache in the Oberst-emo arena. Having stitched closure with his recently disbanded screamo band, ghosting., Tyler has gotten a great start straight out of the gate having just released his debut full-length album. Longing is a gritty record that has raised the bar on what it means to be mellifluous balladeer in the acoustic/screamo realm. Despite this being his solo debut album, make no mistake; Tyler Daniel Bean is no novice and certainly no stranger in alt musical circles. To boot, being a dweller of Burlington, Vermont, he is well acquainted with cold and barren landscapes. It is these types of settings that are lyrically portrayed in his seasoned songwriting with sentiments being even more exquisitely rich than the sap of a maple tree with early-stage Jesse Lacey flowing from it.

Bean is heading out on a short Winter Tour in January in support of Longing. The tour is with a full band featuring members of Weak Teeth and Without. The dates include shows with The Hotel Year, Placeholder and Tanner Jones of You Blew It!. You can check out the tour poster here.
